I have the worst hair n the world and for it to even look semi normal I have to straghten it well iv been straightening so long i started losing my hair and it was becoming short and uneven. i have a restoritive that worked really well but b 4 i can do my hair pretty ever again i need a white girl heat protectant and cant find one!! White girl heat protectants are exactly the same as black girl heat protectants! In fact, ones formulated for african hair are STRONGER! so, they'll protect your hair even more! I would suggest something with 'silk infusion' written on the bottle. The silk fibers will strengthen your hair, but keep it smooth and soft too.

it's really bad for your hair to straighten it that much. You should ask about Japanese Permanent Thermal Reconditioning (or some similar treatment) at your hair salon. This treatment will give you permanently straight hair - for up to a YEAR, with only one treatment. it will save you the hassle of straightening all the time, plus it will save your hair from all that heat damage!

p.s. if your hair is really damaged that badly, you should definitley get it cut. If you don't want it short, get extensions or a weave until new, healthy hair grows out.

Hay girl at beauty supplies stores they have flat iron protectant it smells like watermelons and I use it always its like oil for your hair. if your hair is getting uneven and falling out cut it now!!! as much as you can stand. Save the quality of your hair. Do you use Bleach? If so I know the more bleach the lighter color but that is #1 reason for the breakage not the blow dryer!!!! or iron!!! I just had to cut off about 5,6 inches because I kept running the bleach all the way throughI thought it refreshed the color all rong? ooops live in learn good luck with your hair treatment. Mabe a hair mask would be good.

While there are many possible reasons for hair loss, the most common reason by far is microscopic mange mites, a painful parasitic condition easily treated with ivermectin. Fungal infections are a close runner-up.

Mange Mites:

Guinea pigs will occasionally scratch themselves, but repeated scratching may indicate your pet has mites and/or lice, especially if accompanied by hair loss and "dandruff". The most common of these parasites will only be found on guinea pigs and are species specific, meaning they cannot be transmitted to people or other species of animal. And the most common parasite by far is the MANGE MITE. This microscopic mite causes excruciating pain. Treat promptly with ivermectin!

I would take him to the vet. It is very common for guinea pigs to have lice for a long period of time, even years, without problems or being noticed. However, if the guinea pigs health becomes compromised in any way or he becomes stressed then the lice can "take over" and the infestation becomes more serious. This is easily taken care of with proper diagnosis for the vet and medication. If not taken care of, a lice infestation can lead to anemia and eventually death. Lice, gross though they are, are species specific and cannot be transferred to you. The other guinea pig (who actually could have transferred the lice to him also) should be treated as well even though she is not showing symptoms. You should clean their cage thoroughly and often and only use white paper towels in there until they are lice free. Good luck!

If you have missing patches of fur, you more than likely have mites. you will need to see a veterinarian to get ivermectrin, this will clear up the mites, mites if let on treated will continue to get worse, and they will continue to scratch which will cause open sore, as the scratch the sore they will get larger and larger and they will get a secondary infection. Prednisone definitely can cause weight gain and hair loss, also hair growth, and moon face. It also can relocate fat from the arms and legs to the belly, causing distended abdomin (not only weight gain, but then nothing fits right); thins the skin, causes easy bruising with red spots, allows veins to show through; causes calcium loss from the bones, promotes cateracts, osteo-arthritis, and a whole list of typical, less likely, and rare side effects. Try doing a search, you will probably want to get off it as soon as you can, it must be tapered. I don't know much about Methetrexate, except that my doctor was reluctant to put me on it. I was on Prednisone for lung inflammation. Am now off six months, still haven't gotten any weight off. Maybe there's something else you can do for your RA.

Prednizone can cause weight gain. It helps reduce swelling. It is a steroid used to reduce various types of inflammation and swelling.

I currently take Methotrexate evey week. It is a chemo drug, but probably the least toxic (it is usually used to treat things other than cancer). It is commonly used to treat RA because it slows cell reproduction, decreasing what causes the inflammation in the first place. I've been on it for 2 years, and I've noticed some hair loss, but nothing major.

Your weight gain is caused by the Prednisone (another drug I've taken, but not recently). It is a type of Corticosteroid, which are anti-inflammatry drugs and weight gain is a side effect.

From my experience in treating my Crohn's the prednisone will make your hair fall out a lot. It will also make you insatiably hungry and all you want to do is eat, eat, eat. So the weight gain is two fold- you eat and you swell up like a balloon and get the tell tale moon face. I also found that the prednisone also made me extremely emotional- weepy, angry, etc and hyper. The prednisone and the methotrexate are both used to lower your immune system as both RA and Crohns are caused by an overactive immune system. Prednisone should not be taken for long periods of time as it can harm other organs down the road. I was on it for 1.5 years (no choice) and it took 2 years to get rid of all the symptoms. The methotrexate is great- I have found very few side effects from it. Good luck!!!!

Your dog is going through some hormonal changes now that she has whelped her pups. It is quite normal for all Mother dog to lose their coats. All her bodys resources are goin into producing milk for the pups and not for a beautiful coat. Make sure you are feedin gher at least 2 times a day with a very good quality food. If you want to you can feed her a good quality puppy food now until she has stopped nursing the pups. She needs the extra calories and the weight too. Make sure she has pleant of water for herself at all times.

I would like to know why your Shih Tzu needed a c-section and if this was her first litter. Also the age of your dog. The reason i ask about the age is because A Shih Tzu will blows its puppy undercoat at sometime between eight months and one year of age. If she had puppies at this age and the same time as she is blowing her puppy undercoat that is why you see her hair fallen out in hand fulls. If that isn't the case . The with the c-section and puppies that will take a lot out of her. Her coat will be very thin. That will pass after the puppies stop demanding all her time. Just brush her very gently not to long that you are keeping her away from her puppies, not so hard cause her skin will be a little touche.

when i was in turkey i used this cheap shampoo (lol. what can i do the commercials made it seem ok :P) anyways... when i used the shampoo a couple days later my hair began to fall out more than usual and stuff everybody said its ok and stuff so i said whatever.

huge clumps of hair came out i swear...

like hairballs, every second every day it was soo annoying... thankfully my mom noticed that it was really getting bad so she went out and got medicine, then after that some natural shampoo that worked really well, and some serums.

eventually it got better and my hair stopped falling apart i didnt have bald spots because my hair was really thick and nice before... now its just thin :P
