I would take her to the vet and see what they say because it is to hard to tell. It may just be where you guinea pig is getting older or where its got a skin rash or something like that. I would take it to the vet as soon as possible.

go to the vet has soon has posible ring worm is so disturbing my cats were at the vets and it was gross reading about them so just take it the the vet to clear your mind it could just be hair loss

I would wait about a week before taking her to the vet.

make sure she has a DRY cage and isnt rubbing against anything.If her hair doesnt start to grow back within a week,take her to the vet.

I had the same thing with my guinea pig,I was given that advice by a breeder and it worked.My piggy just had a too wet cage.

Hello, First of all, I'd like to ask, what is your pet's bedding. Sometimes people like to use wood shavings. It helps them to chew and there teeth need to chew as not to grow long. The vet told me to use pine shavings and not cedar shavings. The cedar shavings have some type of oil in them that isnt good for your pet. Getting back to your question. My pet guinea pig had the same problem. The vet told me that it more than likely mites. They get under the skin and causes the pet to dig and scratch, therefore causing loss of hair. It could be coming from the bedding or the dust. I carried my guinea pig to the vet, she gave her an injection , called ivermectine, I know I spelled it incorrectly. You may also give her some vitamin C, just a few drops in her water-mix it and that may also help. Liquid deops are best. you can find them in a pet store.

Its just a skin fungas; but it is contagious. You should treat for ringworm quickly. You and your family can end up with it too.
