Excessive hair lost?

my aunty is 40 and when she combes her hair(when wet), she loses a lot of hair (about a handful)

does anyone know what causes this?

If she recently had surgery, it would be trauma to her system. Medications can also cause hair loss. Not eating enough proteins can cause fall out too!

We all shed a bit more during certain times as well.
