My pits hair falls alot?

wat should i do so it can stop losing hair

My pits hair falls alot?

There are a couple times a year that happens,When their fine under coat grows in( Like now) and when their coat thins in late spring. If the hair loss is constant there may be a nutritional deficiency of some kind. Check with your Vet for the appropriate suppliment. I give my dog a 3oz hamburger with each of her 2 daily meals and her coat looks great. Also a palm brush, like used on horses works well to keep a Pits coat cleaned out.

Pits shed. That's normal.

Feed it a good quality food and brush it regularly. That will reduce, but not stop, the shedding.

go to a pet store and ask the clerk for special shampoo and conditioner for the hair loss plroblem.

It depends on why. If it's stressed ,then you can't unless you determine what's tressing your dogout. It could be diet related. Try switiching it's food, and add high quality protiens such as scrambled eggs, canned salmon with bones, chicken, or lamb. Make sure it is also getting high quality fats, you can add about a teaspoon of olive oil to his/her food. If the problem still continues, you should see the vet. Keep in mind that pits do shed, many people think they don't but they do, it could just be regular shedding as well if it's not in huge quantities.

I have a dog too, it is not a pit, but once my dog has suffered from a similar condition. Well, it could be some of this things:

(1) Hormonal issues due to heavy stress charge. (2) Allergy. (3) Lack of some essential types of body fat, which affects the health of fur and hair in animals. My dog楹搒 treatment was based upon this last condition. I fed him with an special oil (peanut an other nuts) plus vitamins for about 3 months, and the problem was gone. Go to your vet and check this info with him. Regards, Gabriel.

You can reduce the severity of your pet's shedding by changing the diet. I personally prefer Eukanuba and Iams pet foods because it does seem to help improve my pet's coat and control fecal/urine odor.

Several times a year your pet will shed more than usual. Be sure you have the right grooming supplies for your pet's coat. For your breed (and any coat like the German Shepherd has) a shed blade and curry comb are very helpful. These will pull the under coat and any loose hair out. A good grooming like this will last at least about a week at the peak of the shedding season.

Your pet will shed more if you live in areas where the seasons are fickle. Having a heavy coat in the deep south is uncomfortable and so the animal will shed more.

Use a good shampoo designed for sensitive skin and/or shedding. These will help to reduce dander and the hair will not fall out as bad. Dogs with irritated sensitive skin will have more shedding and you will suffer more nasal allergies.

*As an after thought, have you investigated if your pet may have a skin condition or paracitic condition causing abnormal or excessive shedding? If so, it may be more in patches and/or have irritation to the skin. You may notice some flaking of the skin in addition to the hair loss. You may also notice a wetter/oilier texture or appearance to the coat. In this instance you should see a vet for the proper treatment.
