I have a 10 month old mini poodle who is losing hair in a patch. There is no redness, no itching, just this bare spot on her side near her rear leg its almost a perfect rectangle. The groomer didn't do this to her since I noticed it 3 weeks after her last grooming. I do have her groomed every 6 weeks and her skin is healthy looking and she doesn't have fleas... any ideas or suggestions?

If it was round, I would say ringworm. Could still be ringworm I guess but usually not in a rectangular shape. Have her checked by your vet.

Ringworm is not actually a worm. It is a skin fingus. People can get it as well as animals. There is usually a dime sized patch of hair loss. Vets can determine if it is ringworm by a skin scraping. Report It
