That's a good question. Maybe because the very top of our heads (the crown) is the weaked part of our head, so therefore hair comes loose with the weakness?

I think it may be something to do with too much rubbing against the headboard on the bed during nocturnal activities.
The other theory is using water that is too hot in the shower, making your sweat glands over-active on the upper part of your head.
