Iam quite worried about this I used to have thick hair but now its thin and bear in patchs could it be my medication atenolol?

You hair loss could be hormones or problem with overies, or thyroid, stress, or some other problem ...........so you really need to see a doctor.

I have never heard of this med causing hair loss.

But that does not mean its not the cause of it. Meds affect everyone differently.

Maybe your doc can prescribe something else.

tell your doc. there are many alternatives to your med. it probably is not causing your hair loss but you should still see your doc............

Hi I'm on Atenolol also and I noticed that my hair is falling out also but not as much as you say! I would talk to your doctor as it could be hormonal.
